I have a Google Alert set up for Abby Cadabby to make sure I don’t miss any news. My own recent post about watching Sesame Street from this blog showed up this week in an alert. Only listed under someone else’s name and on a different blog! Clicked the link and it took me to a splash page with hot ticket items listed like an iPhone and an eBay search box. Just not the actual text. Totally weird. And annoying.

No, it just redirects you to a page with big images and an eBay search box. Totally lame. Not going to worry about it too much at this point.

you’ve been scraped! Congratulations on reaching the big time!
Unfortunately there’s not much you can do but the SEs are in a constant battle to weed that junk out.
I’ve been noticing a lot of search traffic to squidtop for abby cadabby terms and I thought that was your doing Susan, hooray!

Hooray for me! I think? Don’t really care too much about the scraping. But happy to know that people are searching and finding Abby. I should check my lens traffic to see if there’s any impact over there. If not, I need to start putting some affiliate links over here.
